Great and Mighty God!

Luke 1:37

For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.

This is such an awesome statement when you meditate on God’s word.  It makes me think of the scripture: Romans 8:31, “…so what shall we say to all of this…If God is for us who can be against us” Just before this scripture of conquering the world around us..Paul is writing saying to the people that in All things God works everything for our good if we Love Him, we who are called according to his purpose.  That God predestined us to be conformed to the image of his Son.

So who of us doesn’t go through trials and heartache.  We do everyday of our lives.  Some a little more than others around us, but if we look beyond our own circles we’ll notice that actually we are so blessed and have nothing to complain about.  There are people dying everyday, there are people who die of starvation, malnutrition, murder and diseases just to name a few, and really this is nothing compared to living a life without God in it.  We are so blessed even if we are “singled out” in our circles as ones who is going through some really great challenges.   God is still for us, God is still in control, this brings me to the other scripture that God says in Romans 5:3, that in our suffering God produces perseverance, it goes onto say, perseverance leads to character, character hope and hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.  WOW!  This is the very reason we can be joyful in our sufferings.

We can count it pure joy when we face trials and tribulations.  God will use these very things to make us more like Him, actually if we allow Him to do so that is.  So how do we allow Him to do so?  Well I think it has to be a heart that is not hard in the first place, a heart that is humble, I cannot be arrogant in my ways, for my mind constantly is thinking, who are you Tina?  A mere mist and mere human passing in time, who will only love the Lord her God for everything that He is to me.  This is because He is the only one who remains constant, loving and forgiving a wonderful awesome God who is always faithful, always has justice in His hands and is a merciful God.  WOW, our God is merciful.  We don’t get what we deserve, He loves us still!  WOW.  He is most certainly not like us.   He has proved this to us by sending us His precious beautiful Son, more than 2000 years ago to take the sin of the world upon His shoulders, to pay a ransom for you and me! WOW!

Not only does He do this, but he sends His precious Holy Spirit to continue to guide us in our paths, to show us little treasures through our day and teach us His ways!  OH MY GOODNESS!! How Great is our God!

So my dear fellow human beings, put your trust in God, let Him take your life and make it beautiful, give all the ashes of your life to him, He WILL make you a new creation in Him, He will wash you and cleans you and on top of that, He will guide you and lead you, for He is a good and gracious God.  FOR NOTHING is impossible for Him, after all He is your creator and the creator of the world.  Praise the Lord!!!!

Accepting who God made you to be!

So, who are you?  Who does God think you are?  What does he see that you don’t see?  Why on this earth would God even bother with me?  These are a few questions I’ve asked myself so many times before.  I’m sure you have too.

This past week, I’ve been so frustrated with who I am and feeling that I should be doing more, not just for God but for my family,  my friends, perhaps even for me at times.  I have felt that I should perhaps fight more, stand up for me, for others for stuff that doesn’t seem write at all.  But instead of doing this, I chose to pray and keep quiet.  Hold myself in and my tongue, most times I just want peace.  Then just after really getting angry with myself for not fighting, I read in James 1:19-21 “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this:  Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” WOW! V21  “Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.”  WOW again!  James 3:17 says, “But the wisdom that comes from Heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” V18 says, “Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.”  Well you could have blown me over with a feather.

The very thing I’ve complained about this past week is the very thing God holds as righteousness, now that is not me believe me….. any good in me comes from God alone, I cannot even begin to boast in that, I learn’t that a very long time ago, I’m rotten to the core, if it wasn’t for what God has done in my life, I know where I’d be,  but it made me realize that I shouldn’t be so set on being something God hasn’t made me to be.  I’m a peace-maker!  Don’t get me wrong, I hate injustice and that’s a good thing, but I choose most of the time to let God deal with that, as we cannot change anyone.  Only God can change the heart of man.  Lets face it, He’s much better in doing that anyway then what we are.

And the times that I do say something, well I trust God helps me with that, as this is totally not in my nature.  I am who God is making me to be….because everyday He shows me new things and teaches me, the key is to always be ready to listen and rather get a God perspective than my own.

Rather accept who God made you to be!

In the stillness

The moon is out, the stars are shinning bright.  Crickets are singing and this side of the world is sleeping.  I sit here listening.  I hear my Lord say in the stillness of the night, in the softness of His quiet voice, one day at a time my child! My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude for another day, another moment, I saw my family’s beautiful faces, I saw my daughter laughing, smiling and singing.  I got through a full day of work, running around after work, I was able to do many things, with the strength God has giving me.  Without His strength and without His Grace, I would be nowhere.  I thank my Lord in the stillness of the night for another day, He saw me through! I sleep now with peace!

A little time

Life is sometimes so rushed, for the most part.  You do yourself injustice if you don’t take a little time out.  Whether its for a movie, a hair appointment, nails, feet, guys I guess a game of golf, something.  God said he has called us to have life and life more abundantly, that doesn’t mean work work work sleep, work work work.  More importantly, take time out of your day, like you would to exercise and spend some time with God.  Talk to God, more importantly listen to Him, He will talk to you, guide you and teach you.  Reflect on your many blessings and know that God is for you and not against you. Have a blessed day in Jesus!
